First edition in English in Three volumes with 4 engraved folding maps. Later 1/4 cloth over marbled paper hard covers in good condition. I with 572 pages and 2 foldout maps, vol.II with 512 pages and one foldout map, vol. III with 598 pages and one foldout map. Texts are tight and in good condition.
Volume I contains a voyage to the Cape of Good Hope, Batavia, Bantam, and Bengal, with observations on those parts, &c. " Volume II contains "a voyage to the Cape of Good Hope, Batavia, Samarang, Macasser, Amboyna, and Surat, with accounts of those places; in the years 1774 and 1775. The translator, Wilcocke, was acquainted with Stavorinus family through this and other sources of information, he was able to correct many mistakes which occurred due to the negligence of the original editor. Wilcoke also added a large and informative appendix.
